“Talking Payments”, a pioneering online community has launched today, providing a source of news and insight
April 16, 2012, UK – “Talking Payments”, a pioneering online community has launched today, providing a source of news and insight for anyone involved in the European payments industry. The first initiative of its kind, Talking Payments operates online through www.talkingpayments.com, and brings together banks, acquirers, merchants, vendors and industry bodies to share news, views and the latest industry advancements.
Talking Payments, facilitated by Fieldworks and sponsored by payments leaders, VeriFone and Point, aims to be an authoritative source on European payments management, reflecting the views of invited members through research, analysis, blogs, polls, case studies and opinion pieces. The website is run by an editorial board of industry experts from banks, acquirers, merchants, vendors and consultants, who monitor and advise on content.
Laura Peterzan, Commercial Manager at Barclaycard and a member of the editorial board, said, “I am excited to be involved with Talking Payments as I see this as a step forward for innovating the payments community. I think it will be great to have one central location where people can access the latest information, news, and opinion trends.”
Chris Field, editorial board chairman and director of community at Fieldworks, said, “There is no other resource like Talking Payments. We are confident we can attract anyone interested in payments who currently trawls the media and the Internet in the hope of finding what they want. By joining us, members will be able to decide what they want to see featured and over time, we will run seminars and workshops to really get under the skin of this fast-changing industry.”
