Asda announce two new appointments to strengthen its executive team
Asda has announced the addition of two senior managers to strengthen its executive team, as Mark Hodgkinson, financial services, leaves the supermarket to head to entertainment retailer HMV to become the marketing and ecommerce director.
Karen Hubbard, who is currently Asda’s operations director, is to take on the new role of executive director of store proposition. Hubbard has been with Asda since 2009 and recently oversaw the transformation of the former Netto stores into Asda supermarkets, due to conclude on 14 November.
General counsel Ellie Doohan also joins the supermarket’s top leadership team; for the past four years she has been Asda’s general counsel and company secretary.
CEO Andy Clarke said: “Any successful business needs to combine the right blend of skills and experience and these changes will put us in an even stronger position to realise our strategic business goals."
