Interflora, the florist, has been ranked the third fastest grower in April’s ChannelAdvisor UK Facebook Commerce Index, with 35% growth last month, resulting in its fan base growing to an impressive 25,650.
As indicted by ChannelAdvisor, Interflora has an advantage over many retailers in the index because it’s a global retailer and can exploit the increasing buzz of ‘local’ on Facebook.
The florist has made the most of the new timeline feature, with a visually engaging page, discounts and competitions to drive sales; while themed posts make the page up-to-date and relevant. Interflora also uses Facebook as a way of communicating with customers, providing a highly personal customer service – dealing with any queries and complaints.
Retailers moving up the ranks in April, include; Jack Wills with almost 377,000 fans – a rise of 24, 588 (7%) and Ann Summers, who added 11,057 new fans (4%).
