Marks and Spencer has announced the release of its first mobile shopping app.
The app allows customers to browse and buy from the M&S catalogue, locate stores and get directions via GPS, view product information using a QR code reader and create shopping wish lists.
M & S were the first major UK high street retailer to launch a fully mobile optimised website, which was back in May 2010, so the app development was a natural one for them.
Over the last year, mobile sales for M & S have increased by more than 200%.
