London fashion retailer Ted Baker has today reported a welcomed growth of 16.2% in retail sales despite the recent downturn in fashion markets. In a statement Ted Baker said “We are pleased with performance across all territories despite a backdrop of challenging trading conditions"
The retailer showed that wholesale sales increased by 8.9%, said to be boosted by overseas sales in the US as they continue to expand with new stores across Spain, United States, Ireland and the UK.
Its founder and chief executive, Ray Kelvin, commented: "The group has made a good start to 2012, despite continued uncertainty in the trading environment. This is a testament to the strength of our brand, our collections and above all, the commitment of our team.”
